Some fabulous lilies grace this year's catalog. Take a peek...

http://www.thelilygarden.com Hurray!

It sounds as if this will be the last year of the printed catalog. (Oh how I love them.) She will continue to have a website online.

You beat me to it mags; I haven't been checking every day. Sad about quitting the print catalog. Doesn't she know I spend my winters pawing over all the old catalogs?

Della, my L.a. sprouted some 10 days ago! This week we are experiencing unusually hot temperatures for this part of the year: 27 and 28°C! Has it been hot in Tasmania as well?

Wow! The first days of Spring are being good to us, but nothing like that! The sun is out and it feels warm (mind you I have the flu and I'm delirious with fever Hilarious! ) but according to the reports it's still only 12-13 Celsius. I'm starting to see some lily noses. Hurray!

Although most of her creations are unavailable here and probably never will be available either, I must confess that I enjoy reading her catalogue very much. A bit too much in fact Drooling Drooling Drooling Drooling Drooling

In particular I love her OT's. They are so graceful and unique.

One I do recognize is of course 'Palazzo' and it pleases me to see it in her catalogue as it really is a fantastic color and a lily I think more should try. Hopefully it's then also a reasonable dark pink for hot weather, which was something I really didn't get to test this year.

I was however surprised that ‘Flavia’ is marked as one of the Lily Gardens own creations?
I thought it was a Dutch hybrid as it is registered on World Breeding B.V and also have them as hybridizer???

I assume the marking of Flavia was an honest mistake. If it were one of their new hybrids they would be asking US$35-50!

Della, do feel better soon!

I saw the LG on Flavia and I thought it didn't look like her work or anything she would name either, but then again her work has been hijacked so to speak and renamed so you never know.... Her lily names are always a lot classier than what they turn into across the pond as well.

The cover lily is what has lured me. Could it possibly be that nice of a color in the Midwest with our steamy hot summers? It looks stunning! Drooling

I like the flower---but I don't like the name. It just doesn't chime with me for some reason. The name was chosen from a pool of suggestions of Judith's Facebook friends. Donna Hathaway's name, 'Shell Seeker' was chosen.

What's in a name? Well, everything. Not on Facebook, so missed that. Not a name I would have chosen, but a nice flower and form nonetheless. And as for names, have heard worse... Just a beauty like that deserves an awesome name. Did you put in a suggestion, Lorn? The Lily Garden is usually really creative with names.

I happen to think that my entries of Pin-Up Pink and Polynesian Princess were better than She'll Seeker but who am I? Haha
