We have yet to see one, but they will be here, as they are east of us, and you have them in Rochester, west of us.

What does the damage look like, holes in leaves or flowers? I know the beetle is bright red, but I don't know what damage to look for.

Leaves with holes and buds with drill holes and chewing tracks on them.
Larva has its excrament on its back and appears as black spots. I will see if I can find some examples.I found some lilies with them on it .

Theis pic shows leaves with holes.I cut the top off and tossed i where the larva were.

This was a bud with na hole yesterday.It opened overnight and the hole is bigger.Sorry about the blurr,my macro isnt the best.

Lily planting is so hard and so expensive ,just want to keep gardeners from ripping a lifes work out of the ground just because a nursery employee said to do it. I read that in a post somewhere.
