Tracey really grows those orientals well. I'm envious. Most don't last long for me.

They do better in certain places in my yard, so sticking with those spaces primarily has helped. They are my first love when it comes to lilies and I promised myself I was through trying to start them from seed too. Just as I say that, I see my very first oriental seedling bud (a mere 3 years). So a few crosses are bound to happen now.

The fragrance gets me every time.

You know who else has a really amazing scent? 'Opulent' Oh my!

Pink Giant bloomed! It was planted very late this spring so I can't believe it flowered this year. Right now it's pretty, it's pink, but giant it ain't, lol!

Looks like Kentucky to me, My Pink Giant was about twice as tall this year as it's first. Still not a giant by any means.

Here's Gloriana.

Regarding "floppy" White Henryi, although mine always has a tendency to 30 degrees off vertical, it has never been floppy until this season, and the floral part of the stems seem to prefer paralleling the ground. I attribute it to the overabundance of rain. We were under normal by 3 inches at the end of May, and over normal by 2 inches by the end of June. And it hasn't quit. This is the first time I have ever had stalks snap too. Everything is so plump with water, even stamens snap off so crisply, like a shard of ice.

Tracey and Moby, did you find this to be the case last year when you seem to be in constant flood mode?

I lost several crosses I had made when two White Henryi inflorescences broke. Fortunately, they were not too special.

Jmorth -- those pardalinums are amazing. They don't lean at all?

Been catching up here. So much to enjoy!

Some of these are done and gone, but here are a few of my lilies.

This is another shot of Champagne, long gone now. A very photogenic lily I think.
