Thread OP

I bought this plant a couple of months ago from a grocery store on a whim. It was tiny and sweet and cheap. The only form of ID it came with claimed it was a "tropical plant." Confused I killed half of it by over-watering. It's thriving now that I water it once a week, maybe every two if I'm extra lazy, and have moved it into the window for lots and lots of sunshine. It's growing like crazy!

The closest I've come to identifying it is Portucalaria Afra (Elephant Food) but the stems of that just seem so much thicker than this little guy's. My stems are pinkish and the undersides of the leaves are purple. Leaves are about 1/4 inch wide. This darn thing is driving me nuts and I really hope someone knows what it is or can verify my attempt at an ID.

Inside the small round pot and glass case was right after I bought it. The larger square pot is it today, about two months have passed. It's growing pretty quick considering I killed half of it off!

Don't know what your climate is but that plant grows outdoors for me here in zone 8b. It's easy to propagate and share with friends.

Welcome! to All Things Plants from me too!

I agree, it looks like Inch Plant (Callisia repens)
Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) has more succulent leaves and stems.
