I planted 4 Asiatic lilies in a container this year, I plan to take them out of the container and plant them in the garden. Should I wait until the stalks and leaves have died off or should I transplant them when the leaves and stalks are still green.

Thanks Brian

I have lots of lilies in pots this year......that are to go into the ground
My plan is to lift the plants out of the pot with the ground they are in and transplant them that way
I was told that you can plant them anytime you want out of the pots .....green or not but I am waiting for a bit here until the new beds are ready....

Brian, go ahead and plant as you wish. If you can keep some potting soil attached at the stem roots, they'll probably not miss a beat.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?
