The garden started early (3 weeks by my calculation) and it is ending early.
Weather so hot and humid it shortened many lily bloom times here.
I have started to clean up and deadhead already and want fall cool days to work in instead of this oppressive humidity.

I agree. Everything bloomed so early due to the heat that we're pretty much bloomed out.

I need to divide irises, and I can do it starting now, but not if it's in the 90s and humid. I can't wait for some 70s to work outside.

Even in the morning it's hot and humid. Normally I can get up early and beat the heat. Not lately.

I was ringing wet with 2 headbands on after an hour of transplanting lilies and digging crocosmias.
