45 here in NW Missouri. Sighing! Sighing! Sighing! This is way too early for me to start thinking of dragging stuff in. But also supposed to bounce back up in a day or so.

My Brugs and Plumeria (among many others) aint gonna like that. Nor my wife. Heh

That temperature won't harm your plumeria, but if they are not yet showing signs of dormancy, this will probably trigger leaf-loss.

I don't like real cold weather ... guess that's why I'm in Florida Green Grin! but I'd love some cooler nights with temp's in the upper 40's to lower 50's.

Our night time low temperatures are still running in the mid to upper 70's. We wanted to sit out on our screened porch last night but it was so humid that we came in after ten minutes, it was miserable ... even with two ceiling fans on high! Sad

We have a cold front moving through today/tonight. The lows Sunday/Monday mornings are supposed to be around 50F. Our late MSU-LSU football game will be almost chilly by the end of the game, around 11:30-midnight.

I do not have any tropicals that will suffer the upper 40s. I have tested those temps for years. One year I left my Brugmansias out until Jan. They came back the following summer. It took them awhile to get going but they did bloom by August. Later than I usual had blooms but they still survived.

Yikes. Were I to do that that WOULD be dead. In Jan we are usually down to mid teens. In Jan 2014 we down to 18 below.

The weather the other night did not phase anything that I can see - brugs, plumeria, adenium, oleander, clivia among others and couple of hundred seedlings of tropicals and other out of zone stuff.

In fact - I didn't even worry about it. Smiling By mid October, I will have worried about everything and will have moved everything indoors.

David I really thought they were dead. My Mom was serious ill I was moving to my new house and I was crazy. I picked up the pots in January and put them in the car only because I wanted my pots. Put them in the garage thinking everything was dead. I noticed in March when I took them out the plants had started to grow. I was surprised to say the least.

We had snow and the pots were frozen. So frozen I could not dump the soil. That was the only reason I moved them with the soil. Rolling on the floor laughing I just knew everything was dead.
