I thought I would show off my 350 gallon pond which is really an inground stock tank, Then I put the rocks around to make it look like it belongs there.

I have Four O'Clocks growing in back of the pond in front of the shrubs there.

Many of the daylily beds are about done blooming. Good thing I have the late bloomer sections.

The slope at the side of the driveway. It looked so beautiful when it was in bloom.

The front yard featuring the planterbox. Not much going on here either.

The very bloomed out plateau. Poor daylilies here are done, done, done blooming.

Terraces gardens. At least it looks good even without much daylily bloom. That is why I put the zinnias and portulacas here.

I had the guys that mow my grass and do all my terracing work do the rocks. Some of them are really big and no way could a move one. We went to the place they sell them, I picked out a pallet of the ones I wanted and had it delivered. Then the guys put them around the pond and cemented them so they can not move or fall in. Mostly I was pointing saying put this rock over there and so on Rolling my eyes.

Rita, how do you keep the pond water from getting stagnant?? Are there special water conditioners you have to add to it???

You can see the water splashing up in the little fountain feature. I have a pump and combo Bio filter and UV filter which the water gets drawn thru when it comes up the fountain feature. Thats what keeps pond water clean and healthy. I do love that pond. I know it is not very big but I looked for two years for just the right "big" pond for my yard. I had my two small 35 gallon ponds which have no filters or splashers. I just drag out the hose and add more water from the bottom every few weeks. But this one while small from ponders point of view is what fit into my yard. If I had lots of room I would have a much bigger pond but you have to work with what you have.
