This was blooming in May and I am guessing it is a bulb.
Strap like leaves
It was in an open garden and the only one of it's kind.

The only Triteleia I've grown was Queen Fabiola. It wasn't happy in the woodland setting I used to live in, and didn't return a 2nd year.

garden gus, I know you marked this closed but would you check out Leucocrinum montanum (sand lily, star lily)? I lived in Wyoming for awhile and this looks just like the pretty sand lily wild flower we had there.

Thanks for pointing me to that very interesting flower I always like learning about new plants. I do see the similarity in looks . Did some reading and the sand lily does not have a stem so I think that rules it out .
