This week I noticed this beautiful weed and was going to post and ask if anyone knew what it was...because the shape of the leaves and the height and form was just too beautiful to pull it up ..as I did last year and not know what I had
taken life from...

So today I went outside to take another picture and I started laughing with joy!
A few years ago I had bought a red blooming porter weed plant and loved it
but it did not return the next year in zone 8b.

I have a red blooming porter weed and here are the pictures today
on Sept 21st!

I just saw a hummingbird sip from the red blooms !

I just hope it has time to drop seeds or comes back after our winter this year!
If you have any thoughts on how to make a place for seeds to drop other than
just pull mulch from around this plant or should I straw it for the winter
please post or tree mail me.. Thank you!
