First of all, I've been spelling Mod Podge incorrectly!

Need to fix that!

What I think your asking is do you need to Mod Podge the entire frame. The answer is yes. I wish I could see what your;e talking about.

For example, as I applied the Mp to the birdhouse, it was glossier than the rest so I had to make sure the entire house was covered.

Thanks! I figured the whole frame would have to be done, just wasn't sure and wanted to do it right. And yes, you'll see it once I'm done - even if it is a disaster!

I have been using Mod Podge for a million years and have never spelled it correctly!

Debbie, have you tried the MP over printer's ink? It might smudge that kind of ink, what do you think, Becky?

Oh eeeek, yes, It certainly would Sharon!!!! Over magazines it doesn't. maybe you can find fun words in a fun font and build a banner that way.

Slick magazines work well. Yeah.

Oh crap!!! What about printing on "photo paper"? Or spraying the paper first with a sealer before Mod Podging?

The sealer might work, but it might eat into the ink.
The ink is dry particles, anything liquid over it will smudge it, break the particles apart.

Well the good thing is I can experiment first before trying to attach it to the frame. If it doesn't work Chase's poor crocodile will just be lonely.

There is even a shelf paper clear papaper but I have some very thin laminate.

Well my laminate isn't very thin but I think it still might work. Every spring and fall I do A LOT of laminating (signs for our shows) and the heat really makes the colors pop! I'll be experimenting today or tomorrow and will let you know how it works. See? I always tell DH my mind explodes in this early AM hours.

Mine too. My eyes are tired tonight and I have all kinds of errands and a hot date with my 9 week old Grandson tomorrow... so I think I will go to sleep early tonight. Maybe.

You could paint the initials also.
