I'm starting my first ever indoor (anything) seedling project this winter. I've got 14 crosses that I going to try and grow indoors under lights. This will be win or FAIL!!
My goal is to raise my seedlings indoors, and to have large seedlings to plant out in the spring. Increase my germination rate to 50-75%. Outdoors I'm only getting maybe a 30% total rate. This will be a on going update over the next few months. I'm doing the soak in water for 5-7 days then in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks. Then into pots under lights.

This will be fun to watch. I have some seeds too, but will start them probably after Thanks Giving.

Here is my light bench. Bench is made from stuff I had laying around. Had to get the 4 4' T8 shop lights. I'm running 6500k (daytime) bulbs.

The top shelf is for my iris seedlings, bottom is for hydroponic set up. Never tried this also.

Seeds soaked for 5 days. Now in wet paper towels and into foil packets. Put in refrigerator on 9/30/15. Will check seeds in 4 weeks.

Just and quick update. Seeds where in the refrigerator for 5 weeks. Only one or two had any signs of roots starting. Reed and I planted them into pots on Nov. 7 . Then they went inside under the lights.

Potted up

Looks great. I decided to also give growing from seed and ordered 24 seeds from someone I bought iris from on eBay (yea, I know. eBay). Once the soaking is done I was thinking of wetting the paper towels in a mild solution of MKP and putting them in the fridge till late winter.

Are you using Gro-Lux lights?
