I started gluing gems on my bowl, messy job. Glue & I don't get along very well. Do you put the glue on the ball or on a glob. I put in on a glass glob, but thought there must be an easier way. At last I'm finally putting a project together. Working on glass totem too.

Dahtzu, those are sooo pretty! I'd be thrillled if you'd do a tutorial on those too. Both the green and blue ones are beautiful colors. Hurray!

You can do it either way, the glue has to be on them thick enough to make them set. I tried one place to just put the glue on the ball bull lost those 4 when i started to do the mosiac but I replaced them with mirrors that I broke to fit. Just got to take your time and see what works best. Learn as you go!!

Thank you all for your compliments. Would like to do a tutorial , but it has been so long and I do not have in the process pics. Maybe on the next one.

For a easy one, do one like this. NO GROUT! Clear glass over colored ball.
Just silicone heavy.

Or do this even easier one. Done on light globe. Glued with silicone, added solar light to top.

Thank you. As for rolling the ball in the glue bag, I don't know. I think that you will really enjoy and be proud of the finished ball if you have to touch all those pieces of glass so many times. lol Rolling on the floor laughing
So just do it!

I love them. I have a bowling ball here that is pretty and don't want to cover it up. The glass would be my answer to decorating it. Can't get ahead of myself, just started a ball and I intend on finishing it up before I start on another. Will be a first for me.

Oh, I so know what you are saying there, I do a lot of that. Whistling I was told long ago that not finishing projects is just like being compulsive is for another person...not a healthy habit. So I guess we are all sick puppies on this forum! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
