In the plant database I found 'Blue Ballerina' and 'Ballerina Blue'. Won't these be the same? And perhaps the same as 'Ballerina Blau'?

They are two different plants. Blaue Ballerina (aka Blue Ballerina) was bred by Paul Goetz in 1989. Ballerina Blau (aka Ballerina Blue) was bred by Wolfram Goetz in 1985.

Both were registered under their German names, so I have edited our entries to give the German names pride of place and I have listed the English names as also-sold-as names.

That is a wonderful site, I agree. Most of our listings were taken from Find a Fuchsia, which turned out to be a mistake because of all the misspellings and misinformation. I had to correct the spelling of the cultivar names by checking them against the names on this site:

Samantha's Smile is a true beauty, John. Such an elegant bloom.

I took a look at the American Fuchsia Society's site and I hope it's a work in progress. It lists only seven of the dozens and dozens of fuchsias in Dietrich's Waldis series, for example, and one of the seven is misalphabetized because it's misspelled as Waldi's Steffi instead of Waldis Steffi. I'll use it in conjunction with the German site, though, because it does list some that are absent from the German site.

I think the trouble is Zuzu, we all spell things differently, and sometimes it is changed in the translation. I am sure we will cope. Anyway another photo.
