@Wildflowers

Between Tropicals, Mediterraneans, and assorted Annuals that are perennials in other zones, I have at least 5 or 6 dozen plants that are way out of zone. These live indoors in winter.

A lot of butterflies, hummers, etc seem to enjoy the special treats I have that are not available else where in my area. Oleander and Plumbago went well this year. And it was cool watching a bee get lost in the bloom of a Brugmansia. Of course the favorite Milkweed (of 5 types I had this year) for Monarch adults? Tropical of course. Which will over winter in my basement so that I can place them back out in very early Spring and they will be there and available for the early bird Monarchs. They are still blooming in my garden, while all the others are long gone.

That's so great, David! I often try growing stuff that likes cold weather too... I have several peonies that took seven years to bloom, still waiting on one of them! Hilarious!

Yes, Melanie, we do have both and they look right! Thumbs up

Cloudless sulphur, I know we have at least one of the host plants, Partridge pea.

Sleepy orange, now I see the sleepy face on the wing - so I can ID easy in the future! Hurray!

Charles, that looks like a Tobacco Hornworm. And you may want to post over in the November thread. The thread "November 2015 Butterflies, Moths & Larva " in Gardening for Butterflies, Birds and Bees forum
