Since I grew up in Philly, just checking to see how all ya'll are doing with the wet weather and or getting ready for it. Was watching the weather channel reports on the Carolinas....what a mess. Guess they would be too south to be mid-atlantic though?? They did show shots of Stone Harbor, NJ. Growing up my Mom took me and my two sisters there each summer for at least 2 weeks to a month. Thanks, Ginger! It has been wet and soggy here in MD with all the rain, but we needed it, and otherwise it's been fine. It looks like things are really bad in South Carolina!

Ginger ... thanks for starting this thread. I've been wondering how everyone was doing, too.

I don't watch telly, but have seen a couple of videos on the net. It was enough to make me feel concerned about everyone on the east coast.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Thanks, Lyn. We are a bit soggy here, but no flooding. And we definitely needed the rain, so I'm not going to complain! Big Grin

Looks like South Carolina really got it bad, though. Sad

Virginia here, we got around five inches rainfall total over three days. Today the cloud cover broke and we had some afternoon sun and expect sun tomorrow. There was some flooding in other parts of the state but no issues here except a little too much gloom! We were very glad this wasn't a hurricane!

I agree
We've had so many fall hurricanes in recent years--glad this one was just a storm.
Five inches--that's a lot in a few days!
hope it was able to soak in deeply and not just run off...

Oh yeah, it soaked in. I finally cut down all the amaranth because it was all about to fall over. Sad Did some more cleanup and the garden looks tended to a bit now.
