Blooms are fading, but I love the color of these leaves as much as the color of the flower...

This isn't a bloom either, but is from its summer bloom. The only one Pineapple Guava plant among four is showing fruits... (don't know why the other three are bearing none, they all bloomed in summer) Guess from their color and size the fruits are not ripe yet... Tried a few fell on ground (probably down from previous rain fall) and they taste wonderfully fresh, sweet and sour a bit close to pineapple! Wonder how long and what color they go ripe?

It's been years since I ate one, but I believe they stay green, but soften a bit.

Thanks for the info, Sherry. I hope they will all grow to 2"... If I know the flowers are edible, I should try them from the ones that don't bear fruits. But how do I know which one does have flowers, but won't produce fruits? I think if you eat flowers, there will definitely be no fruits? And I know the plant is great for landscape too. Well, all these interesting things for such lovely plants!

I wouldn't make a steady diet of the flowers, so my fruits wouldn't suffer...lol..The one I had in Fallbrook was a very mature, good sized shrub, bore quite a bit of fruit.
