Many thanks Sue, tomorrow in the morning I will prepare the 1:9 solution! Then after a week if they don't germinate I'll pute them back in the fridge.
I thought every seed coming from a given cross would behave in the same manner, but I was clearly wrong!

I'd expect some to have started to germinate within ten days to two weeks once they're in 1:9. If that happens then you could give them longer in the soak. What you have surmised is correct, they don't all behave the same from the same cross. It may even be that the same individual seed would behave differently at different times or under different conditions.
