hi everyone ive tried to grow fancy ones, sent off to a fuchsia specialist paid lot of money for 6 plugs they never did anything at all! very disappointing
I bought lots trailing ones and bush fuchsias instead from asda or morrisons and tesco supermarket. Also from the discount bargains section in garden centres. They can be difficult plants to grow sometimes
ive lost quite a few, seem to like shade part of the day they all grow outside in the garden
i got 2 climbers lady boothby and the new pink fizz that still a plug, lady boothby is 6ft and flowers nearly all year but likes being in a veranda or covered area and lots of liquid feed weekly during spring and summer time
i going to stick to popular ones in the supermarket cant go wrong such lovely colours Smiling

Hi Janet.

Your fuchsia is actually called Shrimp Cocktail. It doesn't really matter what you call them as long as you like them. I will try to get hold of some photo's of our show this year, as I didn't take any myself.

This is one of my new releases this year, and has just gone on sale at Little Brook Fuchsia Nursery. It's called "Samantha's Smile"

Hi Janet.

Sorry about the delay answering. Got a bit of health problems at the moment. Trying to get them sorted. I don't take many photo's I'm afraid. As you can see my main interest is hybridising fuchsias. I mainly deal with Little Brook fuchsia nursery. If you go on their website you can see most of my plants. Yes I belong to 5 clubs down here including the Clacton and district fuchsia society. Up to recently I used to do talks, but what with my health and caring for my disabled wife I have had to give them up. Nice to see another Brit with this great site. Hope to talk again soon.

John.
