Rob was/is on my mind because he hasn't been on here for awhile and I tend to become a little concerned--he and his family have had a tough year. Guess that is why my brain singled him out. *Blush*

Debra, I'm looking forward to having you, your friend, and any others, meet the California Iris lovers at Napa in a few years. Hurray!

Hey, Mary Ann. A little bird told me that I'd find you here and she was right!

I like the road trip idea. Of course, many of my irises came from Mary Ann, so not much danger she's going to
be interested. I have added a few, though, and will be adding more next spring when the fever strikes again.

Y'all are a great group! Thank you for allowing me to join you.

Speaking of road trips, some day I am going to swing by and pick up Debra, then head down the road to my mecca - Tom Burseen's garden. A definitely must do for me.

Lucy, maybe Mary Ann and Neil could pick you up and I can pick up a couple people and we all meet up at Napa irises and clean them out of irises.

A lot of fuel expended. Do we stop & dig at gardens in between?

Les: That's a garden I'm not familiar with. Clarify, please. Might be one I need to add to my list of gardens to
visit. I'd love to make another run to Marietta's Daylilies down that way anyhow.

The better plan would be for Linnea to pick up Lucy and the Pennsylvanians on her way south -- and meet up with the Kentucky contingent (me, Neal, Janie, Teresa and Jen). Meanwhile Tom could pick up Arlyn on his way south, and the Carolinians (sp?) could join up and head west. Then we'd all head southwest to pick up Bonnie and Deb -- and then head to California where we would meet up with the Utahans (sp?) and the Californians. And then we would DESCEND, en masse, on the unsuspecting west coast Iris gardens (heh-heh-heh)!! And yes, Lucy -- we would raid Iris gardens all the way there, and all the way back!!! Bwahahahaha............ I don't think the Iris world is ready for us.............. Whistling Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!

Angie, Tom Burseen's garden is about 30 miles from my house. I stopped driving a couple of years back and the full-bore Iris Virus didn't really hit until about then, so I have never gone out. Burseen is one of, if not THE, favorite hybridizers for Leslie. Smiling We would both love to go visit him.

There are quite a few Iris gardens/growers in the Central Valley and Sierra foothills.

If you all show up in your Winnebagos, I'll feed you lunch nodding

Well, we could go to Robs and roast a few turkeys, and do the rain dance with him! And don't forget that we need to stop in Iowa and raid a very nice garden there. Well, maybe we don't need to raid that one, since he seems to send us a lot of them anyway, but we sure will want to look! Smiling
