Sharon - Those paintings are beautiful! The bloom painting in this raffle is the ONLY hibiscus that I grow. Your painting of it is stunning! I love the fact that you chose this hibiscus (because I love it's red petals).

Now I want to see the Heart painting! Can you take a photo of it, Cheryl and post it here?

Sharon's painting is very beautiful! I did purchase some tickets and her painting would be my choice if I would be lucky enough to have the first draw. I know I am in good company since many of us would like to win her painting!

Sharon, I'm just in awe of folks who can do what you do. When you're doing one is technique your driving forge or do you just intuitively know what to put where?

Mostly intuitive. But I learned, college and other courses, too, but a lot of the learning reinforced what I already knew, especially how colors will work together. I really started doing macro paintings like the ones for Raffle paintings only when Dave started the Not-A-Raffles.

I didn't even know about paintings being donated as not-raffle prizes--how cool is that?!

I know someone who loves to paint and does incredible watercolors--right now she's doing an 'old barn' calendar that is really outstanding, especially if you like old barns and I do , but she is big into flowers, and landscapes, and still-lifes--oh how I wish I could show you all the amazing, show-stealing, painting of squashes!
Anyway, not to take away from the fabulous Scarlet Rose Mallow offered here --my mind is just spinning with possibilities of potential plant-representational and related donations that *could* cross international borders paintings, books, quilted hot pads, ninja weeding tools, hmmmm I'm gonna think on this some more!

Meanwhile, what a fantastic not-a-raffle-raffle!

Books have been offered, one was once donated by @Paul2032 as a Raffle prize, and I was the very happy recipient of the greatest Rose book ever written!

I'm thinking the 'ninja weeding tools' might need to be edited a little.

Wow. Great idea. I had a V-8 moment when I read that. I have several good gardening books I need to send to a new home.

I won a book in a NARR too! It was Attracting Native Pollinators by the Xerces Society and Christine @Wildflowers donated it. I LOVE it!

Do you think people would mind them not being brand new if they're in good condition?

If they were covered and readable and great about gardening, they'd love them.
