Zuzu, need your help one more time: which one is the correct name (the first on the subject is the one I know, the second is listed in our PDB).

Thanks!

Our database shows it as Barba de Viejo (Ageratina glechonophylla)

It's confusing though, The Catalogue of Life shows it as accepted name but then says it's a previously accepted name. http://www.catalogueoflife.org...

It's provisionally accepted name, not previously. Which, for the purposes of our database, is the same as a fully accepted name. It generally means there is ongoing research within that genera or species that is not yet complete or been vetted by peer review.

Yes, Lin, that's why I asked Zuzu. My Chilean reference book calls it 'glechnophylla' - but then, botanical names for our native flora are given .... abroad Big Grin

Not previously, Lin. Provisionally.

Ursula, the correct spelling is glechonophylla. The other is a misspelling.

Oops. I guess I'm a slow typer. So many other responses before I finished typing mine....

Not accurate. Most of the pictures I post are not my own, you can see the photographers name in the photo captions. Pictures I have taken of the plants I grow can be seen within my own personal plant list... http://garden.org/lists/view/r... I don't grow nearly as much or as many things as I would like.
