Question about Shipping to Northern States in The October Not-A-Raffle-Raffle!

If someone from a northern state wins something from Brushwood Nursery or Plant Me Green, are they shipping the plants this year, or will they wait until things warm up again in the spring?

Reputable nurseries will always hold shipping until the best time for the plant. No worries. But first you have to win.

Thank you, both. That's reassuring! If I win something from one of them, I didn't want it to succumb to the bitter cold temps that we're getting. I actually saw the 's' word today! (s-n-o-w, for anyone that might be thinking dirty) It was only a few flakes, but the poor plants wouldn't stand a chance in these temps.

Oh my goodness ... SNOW? In October? Gee, we're still in the 80's and humid down this way ... looking forward to getting some cooler weather at some point before the year ends but we don't want snow or ice.

Not in the city, but some outlying areas had just enough snow sticking to the grassy areas to put photos on the news this morning.

July thru August I'd go out in it.

I just *wish* we'd get some snow. Summer's been hanging on for too long this year.. too hot & dry.
