I think I may be able to come...whoo hoo!

I would love the screens for cleaning seeds offered by Rick.

I will bring some plants...I am dividing more this weekend. I may have a few Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium purpureum) chunks (large - could be further divided) available, I have several takers already on those. I will most likely have Helianthus 'Lemon Queen' (Perennial Sunflower)...I have two really big chunks of these that should have been divided two years ago (I will pay for putting that off). I also propagate lots of other things, so should have some good stuff to share.

I've been to the Bonhauffer Botanical Gardens a couple times this week (may become my new dog walking route). The early daffs are in bloom and the display should be really pretty by next weekend. The boardwalks and kiosks are all completed, and lots of fresh native plantings among the existing trees/shrubs. This place will be absolutely gorgeous in a few years once the plants have settled in and the stream edgings have recovered.

Hello all - I am so sorry I have to cancel - I really was looking forward to meeting you in person. Next time!
I'm going through a 'weaning' off time from an anti-depressant that wasn't working for me, and now it is like I'm an opiate addict coming off heroin it is horrible! I take this med every other day for another week - on the days I don't take it - I have headaches, hot/cold flashes and sweats, horrible nausea and tired all day Thumbs down So - I'm assuming I'll be down for the count on Saturday. nodding
Peace to you all and I will attend the next one.
Deb thank you so much for hosting this one and getting it together! Group hug Group hug I tip my hat to you.

Greg, so sorry you won't be able to make it, I was looking forward to re-connecting! Good luck with the meds, chemistry can be tricky. If you do get on top of it, come on up.

Patty, I would welcome some rose campion, seems to be short-lived for me and I think mine is lost again.

Does anyone have any food allergies/restrictions? I'm thinking of making a Thai cucumber salad which has peanuts in it.

I've potted up some random things, but if anyone wants to check out My Plant list here on ATP and send requests, I can likely accommodate - almost everything has popped out of the ground and most can be divided. Or we can just wander around with a shovel and dig out as needed.

Greg- Don't write us off yet- Saturday is still a long way off. You may feel much better. I would love to meet you, there is no need to bring anything, plants or food in IMHO. I don't think you need to make a decision until Sat morning.
Patty I don't think I need anything on that list-again, mostly I want to meet people. But passalong plants are great-I had thought of digging up a bit of my lambs ears myself. My sister will be there, she has a whole yard of mud to plant this spring!
Deb (I have to stop calling you "Bonehead". What if I saw you in Safeway and called out your name?) I will plan to bring Salmon-Horseradish Dip and crackers and celery. This will be fine in my cooler on ice.
I took a look at peoples "want" lists to see if there was anything I should dig up. Deb wants Genista pilosa. I have some, and just a few days ago I bought a 'Vancouver Gold' cultivar at my local Ace Hardware (they have a little nursery run by some Plantaholics). I have been looking for this one for years. I will try to do some cuttings for you. I will look for some "Irish Cuttings" of my 'Regina' Coral Bells and Knautia 'Thunder and Lightening". Somebody had those on the lists.
I will bring my big umbrella, it may be rainy, of course.

Greg, I hope you feel better soon. The "cure" can be worse than the disease, especially when "the cure" doesn't help any!

I hope we see you next time, or that the side effects clear up quickly.

Linda, I'll bring the mesh I have left, plus tin snips for cutting it. These come from 12" x 12" squares that I get from MSC Direct. I've used some of them up, and I've been thinking of ordering again, so when you see what sizes would be useful, I might have to mail some to you after I re-order. Depending o0n the seed sizee, anything from 60 mesh up to 12 mesh might be useful. (Sometimes I screen them so the seeds are held back by the mesh, and sometimes so that the pods and twigs are held back.)

I won't be attending - taking off to BC for fishing. I don't have any plants to share at this time, but perhaps I'll have offerings at the next event. Hope you all have a wonderful time -- wishing you the best weather!

I am ready!
I spent a nice couple hours on Wednesday making some divisions, pulling off some "Irish Cuttings" and labeling things.
I put some old pots in the car too-color scheme wrong for my current house so I never use them. I even dragged out an old electric chain saw I don't need here-it's been in the garage for years taking up space. Maybe someone wants it?
Is it tomorrow 10:30 am at the Bonhauffer?

Deb, I hope it's OK if I skip the Bonhauffer Gardens and just meet you-all at your house. My legs will thank me.

If I get there before you, I'll wait in my car, reading.

I was thinking of bringing a cold rotisserie chicken, since my cooking skills are non-existent.
I think "cold" will keep better than "hot".

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Rick, that would be just fine, although I do encourage you to do a drive-by of the Gardens -- most of the daffodils are easily seen from the car window and it is quite a display. If you poke around through all the various parking lots, you can actually see quite a bit. The main boardwalk is about a mile long and per the resident worker-bee, it is absolutely level. The owner is 71 years old and he was adamant about being able to wheel a chair around if/when he becomes compromised. One of the partners of this venture is Pilchuck Glass School, which is close by, and they are just in the process of placing pieces of glass art on pedestals throughout the ponds that flow along the boardwalk. In any event, my place is very easy to find, and my husband (Gary) will be wandering around. He's a friendly guy, I'll tell him you may arrive before the group does.

Hard to say how long we will be at the Gardens, I'm thinking about an hour or so. I don't have a cell phone but my husband Gary does. His # is 425-280-0709 if anyone gets lost.

On a side note, we are having some tree limbs trimmed that overhang the driveway on Saturday morning, but the crew (of 4) plans to arrive at 8 am and they should be long gone by the time we get done with the gardens. As a backup plan and if need be, we do have an alternate access that cuts across our front field. Slight hill, but OK for 2 wheel drive and I'm not tweaky about ruts or squishing down the grass. We often use the field for a parking lot for large events.

Hoping tomorrow is not pouring rain, but if so, I've set up in the barn for the plant exchange. I have also tagged some tools and garden decor I don't use with pink ribbon - free for the taking! I'll have some extra plant markers and Lord knows I have plenty of empty pots. Looking forward to a fun time!

Is anyone interested in pelargonium? I have some variegated varieties in the greenhouse. I will not bring if no interest.

Thanks, Deb! A drive-by viewing sounds about my speed.

Smart guy!

Becky finally talked me into getting a ramp installed so that it will be there if I need it ... then I immediately found out how much easier it is than stairs, especially when carrying anything!

Hmm, if I'll have time to unload into the barn, I'll bring more stuff! I was thinking the three big boxes of seeds would be unwieldy, especial if it's rainy, but a barn sounds wonderful.

mini-blind slats,
mechanical pencils, 0.7 mm and I hope 0.9 mm
pill bottles
waxed twine

Hi Julia, I have been playing around a bit with pelargoniums. If any of them are red rather than pink I wouldn't mind a start at all. I bought a bunch of pelargoniums from Geraniaceae a few months ago. They can't wait for sun and heat, are struggling along on my dining room table for now.
