I adore Azalea's! They are a staple in landscapes in parts of the south and so beautiful in the spring when in full bloom! I planted quite a few when we bought our house in 1975 and although the February bloom time was fairly short here in central Florida, they were a sight to see. We lost all of them (along with the pines and other trees they were planted beneath) to the hurricanes of 2004. I had to google the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Gardens in Nacogdoches and it looks like a beautiful place, I'd love to visit that 8 acre garden next March when they have their annual tour! What an amazing sight it must be!
