@deejay49 - Growing Brugs from seed is very easy. I start them in February or so in my basement but they can be started later. This year I started about 10 from seed in June outdoors in my pretend Greenhouse. They are about a foot tall now and I will move them to my basement in a day or so. I have a basement setup, but a window would work fine. Just start them like any other seed Smiling I started some Arborea from seed in Feb 14 in my basement and it is now > 6' and has 3 buds very close to bloom. Hope it blooms before I have to move it in, but no big deal. My other brug a NOID creamy yellow had 22 blooms when I brought it in last year.

@mkb136 - That Pink double at the top is beautiful. Is that the one that set seed? If you still have some extra seed, I would love to try them for postage or whatever as well. Thanks

When you said "Susie I have one thats a cross of Miss Oct I named and another from that cross I need to name and third one from that cross has never flowered have not given up on it though."

You have 3 plants grown from seed from one cross that has resulted in 3 completely different blooms? The individual seeds take on different qualities from each other? I am still learning - heh.

That is the one that took my breath away. Last year I had a cream triple Datura that was a show stopper.

Thank you for the kind offer.

Mine were cream triple. I planted some last year and one shot up and bloomed by July 4th. This year I had problems growing from seed (many, many things) - guess the weird weather. Everything has struggled - including that Datura. Maybe I will see it bloom in my basement. nodding

If I can find the seeds - I will let you know. At this point I have no idea where they are. Send me a mail to remind me.

@mkb136

Thank you - received today. You are most kind. Thank You! Will start them in my basement in February.

I am not sure whether you labeled the plastic pack or if it was old ink. Anyway, it smeared inside the outside envelope and was not legible. Okay - those were the seeds from the bloom shown at the top of the page? For my records, what was the cross? I can't decipher it from this thread. nodding Is this it? Dalens ink x Volkie

Thanks again. Hope to return the favor some time.

Git ya. Thanks again. Look forward to growing it next season.

A follow up question please as I have not grown Brugs to maturity that are crosses from seed. When the plant matures will it revert more to one of the cross parents or will it look like the pics?

When you cross pollinated the parents, do you use a Q-tip? Further, after you manually do the pollination, do you protect them so no further pollination occurs? I really am learning. Smiling
