Still healing Brenda. Badly injured my leg when I fell going upstairs with a laundry basket. Still very swollen and can't kneel; mobility is painful and limited but I had to keep it elevated for a couple of weeks which made being on the computer difficult. I'm sytill icing and resting it more than I'd like. Makes it hard to get fall things done. I got some more bulbs planted today but it was cooold and I was too chilled to finish. It is supposed to 'nicen-up' on the weekend, maybe I will be able to drive the tractor and mulch some leaves by then.

Oh, Jamie, that sucks! I hope nothing is broken and that you heal quickly and well. Maybe give yourself a little bit of a break? (Not the literal kind...). If you don't get all your bulbs in the ground, you can always chill them and put them in containers for the spring. Hugs from me...

Aw thanks. I've been on break for so long my butt hurts! Hilarious! I am just doing less tasks/day. I have 5 more plants that winter to get in today. I have brought in about 30 (mostly tropicals) this week and they are all in the livingroom waiting to be cleaned and moved to their places (some must go upstairs and that is hard (1step, 1thump -2 step, 2 thump....etc.) so was hoping these hardier ones could wait the weekend but they say it will freeze tonight. The bulbs can wait until next week when it's told that it will resume back to 60°.

Did ever-buddy see Allison's Halloween display??? Okay if I post it Allison?....well, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Hurray! it's GREAT!

I still hope you post a vid of the electronic thingies in the daylight. I know we won't have the scarey lights but it will be neat to see them work.

Jamie, Ouch! I hope you keep taking care of your leg until it is fully healed. I know, there are things that need to be done!

Allison, did your snow happen?

The mountains around us got new snow last night. We have had an 18 degree night a few nights ago, the coldest one so far. The common type of geraniums (pelagoniums?) lost all their blooms and look a bit sad but they are ok. Martha Washington looks much worse but under all that brown mess she is still green. Gotta dig them out and move them all into the greenhouse for the winter. Their "pots" will be old feed sacks with the tops cut down and folded so they will stand up. The feed sacks are plastic but look kinda like burlap. Before I dig the plants I need to take some cuttings for my daughter who wanted certain colors, less chance of me getting the wrong ones before I move them.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Jamie I sure hope you are doing better, haven't checked in for awhile, been busy, got most of the pre-winter chores done. It's sad to see the trees losing their leaves, and I really didn't like the cold wind we had today, but thankfully no snow yet.

Allison posted on the cube earlier and was getting snow. She noted that the power was off and on all around. Apparently later, a tree split in their yard and clean-up wrecked some of their decorations. Her last post this afternoon said she may have to cancel her party tomorrow. I feel SSSOOO bad, they spend so much time 'creating' for their display and get such joy out of it. Hope for the best.
