I remember when weeds thought the Search Box took up too much space, and I've had this question floating around in my mind since then. Might as well ask it.

Does the Search Box have to be white? Can it be that nice pale yellow that's behind the logo? Or better yet, see how the yellow fades into green? Maybe that would be good.

I'm guessing you're going to say it must be white, though.

I am still on my campaign to have the search box obvious but not so much so that is the first thing your eye sees when you open the page, if you are new.
Tone it down, or make it darker with lighter letters?
It just bothers me.

The color seems much easier on the eyes than the white was. Nice. Thanks. A green or black outline would make it look even better.

I know this is getting too picky, and I'm pushing my luck, but perhaps the words could be centered?
