Bergamot Orange, Citrus x bergania, is considered a synonym for Lemon (Citrus x limon) at present although GRIN, as is often the case, continues to treat it as a separate species.

Well I started down this line doing tea research and could not find Citrus bergamot in our database
saw it was most likely a cross in different places Shrug! they suggest different crosses Confused

We also do not have citrus aurantium subsp bergamia

so from the information you have given me am I to understand that this is The Bergamot orange (Bitter orange) used in the making of Earl Grey tea ?

I can't answer your question about Earl Grey Tea, but Citrus aurantium subsp. bergamia is another synonym for Citrus x limon.
