Last year I started a thread about Superstition Iris Gardens upcoming 2015 Introductions. It was such a success that I thought I should do so again for 2016. Last year Rick & Roger announced the introductions over seven consecutive days starting with January 1st. I am not sure how they will do it this year or how many they are introducing. I thought I would get a jump on the thread just because. I also previewed seedlings they were contemplating introducing in the future (2016 and beyond) on the previous thread and will continue to do so. Since they are showcasing possible introduction seedling whenever the urge hits, I am already behind in passing the info and pretty pictures. Let the fun begin! Hurray! Hurray!

Here is the info posted with the above picture on 10/09/2015.

"A Standard Dwarf iris re-blooming now. This one is 13-SDB-03-37RE. Parentage is All Ruffled Up X a very involved re-blooming orange seedling going back to 1991 that has a Duncan seedling, a Bennett Jones seedling and the following in it: Vintage Rose, Yearling, Orange Tiger, Wake Up, Bisbee, Blitz, Sam and 2 sibs to Wizard's Return. The very involved orange seedling in the parentage has always been a very strong re-bloomer, but I've been trying to improve the form over all these years. May finally be getting there!"

Thanks for posting these two little guys, Greg. I love them both. These guys do a fantastic job of creating new little irises that are irresistible to a dwarf junkie. I don't know if these will be available next spring but I already have a list from their catalog of things that should be available again. Ordering is only weeks away now. lol

Greg, this was one I saw there last April that I went back to several times. You don't happen to know if this might be on the list for 2016?

I would have preferred to post just the photograph so everyone could see it, but don't have their permission. Maybe I can message and ask.

This may be a short one since it has SDB's in its parentage. In that case another one for the want list. lol

You ask & I deliver (wait???Did you ask? Hmmmm..................)

Here is the latest info. All three of the seedlings I posted yesterday are not going to be introductions this year. It is too soon for them to be so since the crosses were made in 2013. Even if they were fabulous in every way, there would be enough stock built up to support and introduction this year (or probably next). I should have known that, but the pictures made me swoon (my wife likes to use the term "Blithering Idiot").

My thread did generate an email from Roger on their progress, what we will see in 2016, and their travels.

Superstition Iris Gardens will have six introductions for 2016! There will be three TBs, one AB, one AM, and one SDB. They will again reveal them one a day starting January 1st on their Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/super... ).

They are now doing database updates (removing the cultivars they dropped and adding the cultivars they acquired) and working on the catalog. I hope to be able to bring you those updates when they publish them.

I will also go back to their Facebook page and grab any pictures of seedlings I missed this last year. Cheers!

OK, my goof. I should have posted the three seedlings on the "Tasco on Tasco" thread rather then this one. The seedling that Debra was wanting/talking about was the last one posted on that thread. I will keep this one as is, but going forward will only post the 2016 stuff to it. I will also re-post the three on this thread onto the Tasco on Tasco thread! Smiling

Received permission. Here is Seedling 10-TB-38-06. Will be at least 2017 for a 'possible' introduction, but I have hopes they will keep it.

ok, so six introductions. How about a "Guessing game"???****

**** Note: I do not have any inside information as to what is being introduced. This is just my "Best guess" as to what they will put forth.
