By Gardenbees

There was an attempted murder off our porch this afternoon. A hummingbird became caught in the web of a large yellow and black Argiope spider!

Gardenbees, I would give you 50 acorns for your heroism. But sadly, I don't even have one in my coffer to give.

Thank you so much for rescuing the hummingbird. It truly warms my heart and made my day!

Kadie

Edited: Someone just gave me some acorns (kind generosity) so I am passing them along to you.

Taking care to free the Hummingbird was a wonderful thing to do, Gardenbees .... although the Argiope spider was a hero in my yard this year ... she captured and made a very neat bundle of a Robber Fly who touched her web. Saved me from getting him out of the garden. If you have ever seen a Robber Fly make short work of a bee, you understand.

Live like every day as it is your last because one day -- it will be.
(if I can find who said this, I'll credit that dear Soul -- wasn't me, but it makes a lot of sense)

This isn't a dress-rehearsal ~

Thank you for the acorns, Kadie!!! Oh, and your signature image is really pretty!
