Very interesting Wolfgang. I look forward to seeing your odd seedling become an adult rosette. Hope it is something really special.

I have seedlings from when my 'Oddity' bloomed. The blooms were very odd, and the pollen didn't look viable.

They sure were some odd looking blooms.
I tried to pollinate it with anything that was blooming at the time. The result was two seedlings, both of which are normal looking at this time as two year old plants.
I just went out and took this photo of the two plants. The smaller one kept trying to die, but is now healthy.

Yes Lynn they look like Albidum itself. Was hoping your stalk that was so abnormal might not be a chimera. In many such plants only the epidermis (LI) is abnormal and the inner tissue is normal. The sex cells come from the inner tissue layer (LII) and thus behaves as the original plant genetically.

OK long day, TO BED!

That tiny seedling already has a bountiful amount of webbing. Very nice Wolfgang.

Yeah for you Julia!

I have never used Fuzzy Wuzzy but i'll be very interested to see what sort of seedlings you get. I started that line again by crossing Denise's Cobweb with Killer but only a couple are good at making crests. However, there is one that has beautiful crests, like Fuzzy Wuzzy on steroids.

To me it looks like multiple rosettes fused together. What size is this seedling, Wolfgang?

Yesterday I transplanted about 50 seedlings and saw that some of the jovibarba roller NOID seedlings already started producing offsets. They are now about 3.5 month old and have a diameter of about 1.5 cm (0.5 -0.75").

We are currently experiencing a period of heavy rain and my seedlings previously transplanted got heavily beaten up and some won't make it.

I will try to post photos this evening.

Sorry about your heavy rains hurting your plants - it is always disappointing when the plants get hurt!
I tip my hat to you.
I love rollers because they offset so early sometimes! I tip my hat to you.

Greg, I knew that they may offset that early if being grown from offsets, but would have never believed seedlings would offset the same way!

Good point - makes me like them even more! They are survivors aren't they! I like how you can find the little babies so far from the parent plant and they'll be living! Thumbs up

Enclosed some fotos. Earlier than expected as the rain made a break this morning.

What sweet seedling photos. I can see the tiny offsets on the roller types.
Michael the bloom photo is stunning. And just look at all that fluffy pollen. Do you know the name of the semp?
