Thanks, Kevin.

Yes, I water well. Always looking out, that the seedlings are NOT dry. The cover is glass, so light goes trough. They aren't etiolated at all. Made good experience with that, because heavy rain cannot wash out the seeds. The glass I remove early after germination.
Have some more seeds here and will now do it like you suggested. Fertilizer included.

Will keep you informed about my seeedlings.

Thank you Tim for the helpful link...I knew about C4 plants, but CAM was new to me...

I just transplanted the first 10 seedlings into single pots (4 x4 cm/ app 1.5"x 1.5" ) with potting mixture and gravel coverage on top. All of them have at least two pair of leaves, but they're soooo tiny.

Wolfgang,

You can't judge much by the cotyledons or even the first few leaves. 'Borscht' was purple right from the start but it was exceptional in this. You will be surprised how different they are next spring.

I wished I had a camera like yours and your photo skills, Wolfgang!
I found some of my seedlings from last years test batch to look significantly different from the other completely green ones. Some had reddish cotyledons, but are now growing somewhat thick green true leaves and some had greyish cotyledons and are now growing reddish true leaves.
Some of this years seedlings are just starting their first set of true leaves, like yours do, bot until now they pretty much all look the same.

Yes Kevin, I know that. There isn't great difference between the seedlings now. Hope they will develop well. I'll make photo series to see how they change.

My camera isn't an expensive one. Sometimes offered on ebay for about 50 Euro.
The only thing I make is not to switch on the automatic modus. I just make all manually.
Even with that 10 year old camera it works.

This is it:

I have planted some seeds from a NOID which showed a crested flower..

Only less seeds have germinated.

But one of those seedlings looks a bit odd. Will it become crested? Or a monstrose form? It remains exciting to wait and see...

From this plant with crested flower I got the seeds

The odd seedling:

And a normal seedling from that NOID:

Wolfgang,

When 'Weirdo' appeared as a seedling it was weird right from the early stages like your baby. Good luck. you are right that the seed from crested inflorescences tends not to germinate as well. It LOOKS healthy. I had only a few germinate from a fasciated 'Dark Cloud' but the non-fasciated one produced lots of seedlings.

Good luck!

Kevin,

yes, I hope that it will become a special one.

On the other hand I got seeds from a crested 'Pelora' which had a crested flower. Many, many seeds. But only one has germinated. I had all clean and worked carefully, so the one seedling really was from that flower.

But I was astonished to get a "normal" Sempervivum.

Here the crested flower of 'Pelora', where I got the seeds

And the only seedling. Looks normal:
