Please help me ID this pretty plant.

The leaves have nice markings (bottom right side of the picture). I don't think it is a hybrid, for I grew the mother plant from seeds and this is her offspring. Geranium versicolor is very similar, but has no marks on the leaves.

Thank you!

I have a garden full of these, they can vary a little or a lot. They crossed from Geranium versicolor which I have, and another which I got from a neighbour and I think is Geranium endressii Wargrave Pink.

The general name for these crosses is Geranium x oxonianum. There are several selections which have been named, but they cross breed like rabbits.

The leaves I can see with markings look like Geranium phaeum, are you sure they belong to the flower you are showing?

I found one with marked foliage, but as this was a self set from seed off a mother plant also grown from seed which would itself have likely been a cross, you really can't give it a name.

Geranium x oxonianum 'Katherine Adele'

##White to pale flowers with a darker pink veining
##Flowers from late spring to midsummer
##Green with purple-black, variegated foliage

Interesting Notes:

A hybrid cross between G. endressii and G. versicolor.

I tip my hat to you.

You might have noticed Lin, that the photos submitted by bonitin are of a plant which came from my garden. Green Grin!

It has a lovely atmosphere with the contrast of light and shading Ursula. The leaves could have come from Geranium phaeum, I haven't come across that species crossing with G. versicolor but it has to have come from somewhere.

One of these days I will check my old mails from my DG times - I obtained the seeds from an exchange. Maybe, if I find out who sent me the seeds I can also find out the name of the plant.

Thanks again for your help, Janet!
