I planted my first two purslane this spring and have been amazed at how well they've done for me this summer. Our heat has been extreme and with no rain it has been a killer of several plants in my garden. But the purslane just seems to laugh at it. I have one plant in the ground and one in a pot and both look good. So my question is whether they will survive the winter?Do they die back and then return from the roots? I'm in zone 8 but pushing 9. If not I will definitely be getting more next spring.

They don't survive the winter but you can check out more info on the threads. Mine never came back full force but they do reseed.
