Chrysanthemums Rule! Mum's the Word!

This past year I took a deep dive into Chrysanthemum rubellums (Heirloom or Old Fashioned Mums). In Michigan, we had a hard frost in mid-October as usual, but several of my new mums are still in bloom. What's not to like about that?

I really LOVE mums, but they don't love me Sad Sad My Mom had beautiful mums in Philly where I grew up....and I so LOVED them, but try as I might, I always manage to kill them. Buffalo,NY...Havana,Fl., St. George Island, Fl. and now here in Fountain, Fl. No go. I bought 3 again this year in hopes that maybe my luck would change...doesn't look too hopeful. Perhaps my new neighbor will have better results and I can hang there to enjoy Sighing!
