These look great. I just transplanted one a little larger than these and it went into shock but i think it will recover. I know your zone pushing these in Gresham so my question is...whats your stratagy for getting them through the winter. I would plant one in the ground as a test through the winter. I think it would survive in a well draining location unless you had a very cold snap, like under 20°, for an extended time. I have'nt seen any siblings of yours here yet, but the rains have just started and I expect I'll be weeding them out by spring if they germination rate like yours. Here is me and the parent plant of yours. I'm 5'10". I'm hoping to have two in bloom in 2016 and more very year after. They are quite eyecatching. I tip my hat to you.

I planted one in the ground about a month ago. It is looks very healthy despite something eating it. Slugs maybe. I plan on putting the other 4 in my unheated garage before our first frost. I'll take them out in the spring, hopefully. I'll plant them in different spots in my yard. Maybe I'll leave one or two in large pots.

Yes, I had one survive. It was in the ground. Looking good right now. The other four were in one gallon pots. Two were left outside in the winter and two in my unheated garage. None of them survived. I have started more this spring from left over seeds from Leslieray. They are doing ok, so far.
