Go to the Swap Page:

http://garden.org/apps/swap/

Click on our swap name and then in the list of links up top, you'll see a couple new options:

» View your "bought" items
» View your "sold" items

Click on one of them to view the report.

Note: the link will only appear if you have items. So if nobody has yet claimed your items, then you won't have a "sold" link at all.

I like it

I have a trading question. Would you ever allow someone to put dibs on the same thing they got the day before? Like if I really want apple seeds and put dibs on one packet yesterday, would I be able to get another on Day 2 if they are available?

It's just a question I had (Part of my regular job is to test applications so 'what if's' pop into my head normally.so please ignore if irrelevant)

You can only call dibs on each item once. If you wanted additional quantities you'd have to tree mail the person and ask it as a special favor.

Oh, interesting. I'm glad you told us that because that might change things slightly...in the future, anyway. I was expecting that if people wanted more of an item, they could simply request multiple packets.

@Dave wondering if there is a way we could use a check off system to mark the packs that we sold and have ready to go. Maybe have them turn red or an x mark...something to be able to keep track?

Well, I'm not sure I understand the need. The packs you've sold appear on this list that you can access so that seems like what you're asking for is already there?

This entire system is fantastic, Dave! Thumbs up I think the tallies are a valuable feature for the actual swapping process. Being a 'seed swapper', especially in group swaps like this, I don't know how many times I've had to double and triple check myself to make sure I didn't miss anyone or a seed pack. It can easily happen during the thrill of the moment (as you witnessed during the actual swapping) and you confirm all of your swaps. Now I don't have to go back and mark the seeds, going to whom, etc. because the system is calculating it all for me.

The tallies eliminated all of that! I can look at the auto-tally and know exactly what is going out and coming in. Thumbs up Awesome!!!

RE: The need to know how many, it could be helpful when looking at your seeds, it will coincide with the tally; if I'm offering 5 packs of marigold and 3 people have asked for them, then there should only be two packs left- if there are 4 packs left I know I missed giving them to someone.

I agree

And you can print out your list of "sold" seeds and physically check off the ones that you have labeled for the "buyer" -- Thumbs up

When the trading is over, you will be given a printable page that contains a list of all the packages you need to put together. It will look something like this:

For Horntoad, send:

Crepe Myrtle
Tomato
Beans
Carrots

For Weedwhacker, send:

Tomato
Cassia
Zinnia

Then you can just print that out and check them off as you put the packages together. Bundle them by member, and then send the whole lot to the host.

I like the idea of a printable list if you can do that. I was thinking more on the lines of while I am packing my seeds up as I sell them I could check off what is on the list as I pack them. Just thought it might make packing easier. I personally don't have them pre seperated.

I love that the computer keeps track of everything and counts it too! It makes everything so much easier for both the swappers and the host (unless the host is also the programmer)

Excellent. That prevents re-requesting a thing unintentionally. I agree that larger quantities can be requested offline.

Sometimes the seeds are precious and counted out by hand parsimoniously, and "extras" means 22 instead of 20.

Sometimes we have lots and a request turns into a tablespoonful.

Invariably (in other swaps), there is something I've been looking for, for ages, and I forget within a day or two that I clicked once. Invariably I will forget, then start to request it again, and sometimes my paper records will inform me I already asked for it, when I go to record the request.
