All, found this huge dahlia listing with suppliers, put together by a member of the ISO-Dahlias group on Facebook. She's very excited about it and said it would be updated when suppliers put out their 2016 price listings. I've been looking for a few with my sister's name, Wanda, and could only find Canadian sellers with big ag cert charges. She lists a few that I'll be checking out! Happy browsing!

Thanks for posting this here. I heard about it, but hadn't checked it out. The ADS keeps a "Big List", but apparently have been very bad about updating it over the past few years, and I don't think they list price comparisons.

I sure would love to see a list that divided them by types - waterlily, cactus, anemone, formal decorative - etc. and then by color. If I decide I want a yellow waterlily it would be great to see what choices there are out there.

That would be cool, Geof! Not many sites have a way to filter for specific interests. What I think would be really cool is if you could do a search for several dahlias in the same list and get results of any sellers with more than one of them. I'm looking for dahlias with either Wanda or Charlotte in the name (both of my sisters) but no one seems to sell more than one variety. Think I'll wait on most, did get Wanda's Aurora from BJs Dahlias today after my first look at the list; one for me and one for her! Also have to keep a look out at Jan's Country Garden, seems to have better prices than most based on a quick look at several on my "wanted" list. Has anyone here purchased from them?

I haven't purchased from Jan's, but I know people who have with good results. Dan's also has good prices.

Too bad I can't get to the underlying database. It would be super simple to set up queries by anything you would want. I don that with my database at home. I simply set up a field for all dahlias (well in this case peonies) that I am interested in - fields not dahlias. Color, form, bloom time, breeder, etc. Then run the query. You can set them up so anyone could use them. But this database you sent the URL for is wonderful. Thanks so much.

That's amazing, Mary Stella! You're a talented lady. Your botanical garden is lucky to have your services, a talented gardener and computer tech in one!

It's funny how much tech plays in to gardening now. I order the majority of my roots via websites, we learn new things and converse with like-minded people in the forums and we'd be lost without our plant databases and search tools. I wonder what my Grandma Daisy--my biggest gardening influence growing up, would think about the internet? Poor PawPaw would never get a break from running back and forth to the post office to mail out her end of trades!
