I was looking for info on this clematis. I will be planting it in mid September.
Yikes Its NOT a vineing clem.
Its 2 -4 feet tall and is more of a shrub.
Does anyone plant theirs in a container? As a spiller?

I have 2 and both are in the ground . One near a prostrate rosemary and another near trailing lantana. Still no good pics, since plants not thriving due to the dreadful winter followed by a killer summer...but they are still alive. I have had Durandii which is similar in growth habit in a pot for a couple years with no problems

http://www.growingguides.com/P... It is brazilian jew,: tradescantia minima. I also love the way it covers the pot. I always take a cutting to overwinter b/c I am worried I won't find it locally in the spring. It roots very easily and is a wonderful mulch for the clems

Thanks, but I'm not very good at holding plants over winter. I appreciate the offer.

Yes, I understand! Seems like only the ones that I bring in the house make it. It only takes one frost night to kill of the ones that need to be covered outside.HArd to remember to do consistently. One of the reasons I love clems! Very hardy! Hurray!

Petit Faucon mixed with pitcher sage. I planted it to grow on the prostrate rosemary but looks like he had other ideas
