Sadly, for the Iris world, Bill Maryott went over to Daylilies. Joe Ghio introduced Bill's last seedling... and what a seedling it turned out to be..

Sherry, disappointing, isn't it? He produces some stellar Daylilies, and that takes a lot of attention, I know. But I wrote to him earlier this year to see if he knew where I could get a particular one of his Irises and he didn't really remember even producing it. Granted, it is 20 years old, but I guess once you go over, you GO over. Hilarious!

I want these two from Marvin Davis. (diggit on ATP)

Tom, you're on a roll, now you've listed one that is almost dead.

Deb, American Maid has been added to your list.

I really have to honor Lucille Pinkston. Now if I could only get my hands on more of her creations I would be very happy.

What is there not to love? Owyhee Desert

I got a couple of this one from Blue J this summer, but they are looking poorly. Which is sad because it is used as a parent to many other iris. If anyone knows of another source for Jasper, please let me know.

Bruneau Jasper

By the way did you know Owyhee Desert is the parent of this little beauty (by Larry Lauer)?

American Maid is a very tough iris. Marvin Davis joined us one year & his introductions are wonderful. Rocky top has quite a few of them.

Sadly, Edith Wolford & Owyee Desert don't like New England.

Gabriel, check with me after Spring for American Maid. I had already separated some of it this year, but if it increases enough, I'll send it to you too.
