I feel extraordinarily lucky to have her as my friend. Going on 30 years, now. Just wished she lived in Texas instead of New Jersey.

I ordered 15 Iris and only went $0.50 over the gift certificate amount.

It was. For some years, she has given me a plant gift certificate for my birthday. When I stopped working, we made an agreement to limit Christmas to $10. Guess she forgot this year.

(because it WAS so big, I did write her and ask that this one be considered as both Christmas and birthday). I would have waited to use it, but one of those on my pending list showed as just one left and another sold out last year before I could get to it--didn't want to risk not getting them. Now I don't have to.
