Please provide more information. What is the location of the plant? It appears to have been pressed flat; when was the specimen collected?

Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith"

This plant was collected in early september in central minnesota in a disturbed area between a mesic hardwood and fire dependant forest. It was pressed flat but the leaves are evergreen leaves and the reddish grouping of three buds on the tips looks very diagnostic
