What is this fantastic plant that survives 20 degree nighttime temps. and looks like this the next day?!?! (sorry about the bad pic. Snapped it walking by my neighbors yard!)

Thank You! Springcolor. This plant has leaves like an elephant ear in size. And it looked like rhubarbarish type stems. Is that similar? (is rhubarbarish even a word?!)

Thank you for the responses...I think you two are correct. I showed this to the neighbor who's plant this is and she agrees also. Best part is she promised to give me a starter ! Hurray! Can't wait for Spring!

Thumbs up Thumbs up Now that you are happy with the identification you should know that in Oregon some folks think of this as one of the more aggressive garden plants, perhaps best grown in a pot as your neighbor has done and not allowed to spread its roots into the soil. Be extra careful when repotting; any piece of root that falls onto the ground can happily grow...and grow... Sad
