Thank you, @tarev. This is good info!

And now that you're back, I'd like to introduce you to a friend I recruited. @plantmanager Karen has taken to ATP like a duck to water. She has made numerous plant data base contributions within this past month of joining. She has one adenium plant that she has been nurturing, and is now getting ready to sow her first adenium seeds.

Also new to ATP is @Adeniumgirl Willeke. Her excitement and joy at growing adeniums from seed is so refreshing. And she is ever so hungry to find out more about the care of her babies...wants to be a very good adenium baby momma.

(p.s.) I am very sad for you and your family on the loss of your mom on Dec. 23. Crying Group hug

Hello Karen and Willeke! Welcome! Lucky you guys, I am never good at seed level, so I just watch and feel the excitement and fun growing the babies.
Thanks KD and Willeke for the kind thoughts.

Perhaps that is more easy. That is true, but it is just so much fun to try it, but I must admit that am not the most patient.

Willeke, if you can manage it...don't look at your babies, ignore them for a couple days. They and you need a breather. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

I agree I am feeling major impatience while waiting for my Adenium buds to bloom. It seems like they'll never make it.

During winter, when my Adeniums go to la la land, my orchids make their show so it allows me some good diversion. Smiling

Tarev, am so sorry to hear about your Mom!

My adeniums are doing ok and recovering from that pesky worm infestation.

Thank you Gigi for the kind thoughts. Lovey dubby

And I love all your blooms! Aww it will be a great while for mine...in late Spring to Summer before I see anything here. But it is trying to bloom indoors right now, do not know if it has enough energy to do so. So tempting to water mine thoroughly, but got to hold back I know it is entering some dormancy....ah the wait!!

I feel your frustrating wait Willeke, it really is a test of great patience..hands off! Big Grin

@GigiPlumeria
Gorgeous flowers, and still many more buds to bloom! Lovey dubby

A couple of weeks ago I noticed some of the leaves on a 7-month old seedling was getting munched on. Ahah! It was caused by small black caterpillars (never saw this kind before). I picked off the two I found and no more munching attacks.

I'm battling mealy bugs now...in my experience, those are more devastating than caterpillars or aphids. Glare Left unchecked, they will literally suck the life out of a plant and very quickly.

I agree Mealy bugs running rampant have made me have to pitch several hibiscus and several different cacti when I couldn't get them under control. Vigilance is the only way to go. Catch them when there are few of them and nip them out right then.

Thank You! all.

Hetty, my collection have no iD's, Hubby got these to me as gifts and he bought them from Lowe's and HD.

Hmmm, I don't think I have mealy bugs but I think something is still wrong with the leaves so I got to watch these closely. The leaves are not as green as they usually are, maybe need new dirt, but am going to wait till March before repotting them.

Karen, Ken and Willeke, it will be very exciting when you first see your seedlings bloom. Mine are not doing great but hoping that at least 2 will survive and will have beautiful blooming seedlings like Kadie.

I have plenty of buds but the red and pink only opens 1 bud at a time nodding Green Grin!

Tarev, have you tried propagating he cuttings of your beautiful adeniums. I'm thinking of doing that on my red even if they won't form any Caudex.
