Just noticed after being away all day that the thread listings are much smaller. I like it mostly because you are able to see more of the threads. I miss the larger photo but those are in the individual thread.

So I guess what I'm saying is GOOD JOB! Hurray!

This is in preparation for some changes I'm planning for the forums area. I'm going to split the page in half like the homepage is. Then I will have an extra infobox place on the right for the moderators to maintain an informative message along with extra links and such-like.

This will then be able to be used to provide links to important threads, and then those threads don't have to be stickies.

Right now, many forums have quite a few stickies at the top, which means everytime you hit the page you have to first go past all the stickies before you get to the new stuff.

Additionally, we will also be able to program the system to give related links to related articles and later links to the plant database and things like that. It'll be nice. Smiling

Great idea! It sure will offer quite a few more choices/features in that space. And ditto on the stickies; I got exhausted scrolling down past some of them just to get to the new threads. (I'd hate to stress the first joint on my index/scrolling finger, how will I ever pick my, I mean scratch my nose?)

Looking forward to this new change.
Thanks, Dave

I agree I'm learning so much from so many of y'all ... and it's sure a lot more fun than when I was actually in school all those years ago!

Hehehe, yeh, since "ing" on the end of a word shows action, yep!, Das YOU! GinGing all over the place! *grin

Lin, yeh, I agree, this place is a learning center. It's similar to an Encyclopedia Britannica set, eh? And each day a newly bound book is added to the collection.

Er, uhh, wait a minute. Since we're not strictly British, like the E. Britannica, I guess ATP would be more like the Encyclopedia All Things Plantica! Er, sumpin' like that.
