Thread OP

Thank you for accepting me into your forums..I stumbled upon this site when searching for answers as to why my virburnum odoratissimum hedge hasn't flowered though I planted it 2 years ago. Apparently it can take a while to flower so in the meantime I'm quite happy with the lovely green hedge it provided.

We bought this rundown property 2 years ago when we retired from the country to the east coast NSW Australia, and have spent the past 2 years making it livable, the house had good bones just needed a dolly up but the yards, front and back, were a disaster of sand and a few dead roses. It's a lot nicer now.

This is the hedge I was talking about, with hydrangeas in the front, it doesn't really need to flower to be successful, but it would be a nice bonus. Smiling

Good to see you onboard, Lily2306. I think you're the 47th member giving "Australia" as a home address.

You can find them here, by entering "Australia" into the Location field:

This is the map version if you're looking for near neighbors:

They do seem to cluster near Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

I bet that porch is shady and cool on hot days!

Welcome to All Things Plants, @lily2306! I'm always happy to see someone else from Australia on the site, my dream is to someday visit there. (I've tried to get @Gleni to send me a kangaroo, but no luck so far Sad Hilarious! )

And welcome to @plantmanager , as well!

@Weedwhacker. Sandy, you can have a kangaroo if you get Jack to send me his dog, Plato.

Thank you all for the welcoming posts! Bubbles, I'm pretty much a general plant lover, but cacti and succulents were my first love. Then I lived in the tropics and grew to love most tropicals. I have a new dome greenhouse, and am growing mostly tropicals with veggies and herbs tucked in everywhere. It's already too small for all the plants I want. Smiling

sorry, Karen -- I was ROFL-ing at Glen; I don't think Jack is likely to send Plato anywhere!
