Eclayne wrote this plant to be a hybrid between R. auriculata and R. cautleyoides (often mispelled without the y: poor mister Cautley!). This is correct, so the name R. auriculata 'Beesiana' is wrong, as it is not a cultivar but a hybrid. As it is a man-made hybrid (By René Zijerveld) the name Roscoea x beesiana is wrong too as this suggests a natural hybrid. The correct spelling, I think, would therefore be Roscoea Beesiana.
There are several colour selections of Beesiana available. First the 'Alba' which actually is very light yellow and now also found as Roscoea Beesiana 'Light form' over here. A really white form, often with the same purple specs on its flowers which is so typical of the Beesiana is called 'Monique' (after Zijerveld's wife). A form with much more and darker spots is sold as Roscoea Beesiana 'Dark form'. If you hybridize a Roscoea auriculata with a purple form of Roscoea cautleyoides you will get a Roscoea Beesiana 'Ballyrogan' (a Northern-Ireland nursery).
