Is anyone who posts to the Peonies Forum participating in this contest? If so, there are TONS of root pics that would be a valuable addition to the plant database. I just saw the contest posting and thought to join in but decided to hold off for a bit after reading some of the concerns by others who've shared their pictures in the forums. Is there anyone out there that DOES NOT want theirs associated to the database? Anyone who wants to associate any of mine, please feel free. My pic taking skills leave a lot to be desired but I think most of the root ones I've posted are at least pretty clear.
If you're not sure of what I'm talking about look at the Ideas and Articles area, there is a string about it there. It is a contest with acorns donated for the person associating the most pics, thanks Zuzu!

I posted a few pics from our Roots 2015 string as an experiment, just 1 each from most who posted pics of their roots from this fall. I don't know if the member gets a notification whenever one of their pics is associated, I assume they do. If anyone objects to the association of their pics just speak up and I won't associate any more of theirs. You can also elect to keep your photos free from association by anyone other than you in your settings, there are instructions on how to do it in the comments to the Pic Association Contest post in the Ideas and Articles section. Sorry if I irritated anyone doing this, too much time on my hands for sure this week.....

Anyone wanting to play along any pics I posted are free game, I don't mind if they're associated or not. One of the rules of the competition is that you can't associate your own pics and get credit for them for this activity so I won't be touching them or locking the association feature.

Yes, I was notified that it was associated. I had forgotten the root pictures, and thought there was a mistake that a picture was associated with Athena,-- when I have not had any flowers yet! Hopefully I will get flowers next summer.

Glad you guys are game! I'm going to do a few more before I have to take one of my kitties to the vet. Looks like the people who's pics are associated get an acorn and the associator gets 1/2 of an acorn for each pic. Fun game!

Thanks, Annette. He's a lot better than he was last weekend. Spent most of it at the emergency vet with a bladder blockage....you don't realize just how attached you are to them until their lives are threatened...

Some of the roots cultivars are not in the data base--which slows me down in associating the pictures to the data base.

I ran into that same thing, Caroline. If I get to do more tomorrow I'll request them as I go if I find any.
