I'm lovin everyones nests, they are very creative, Buttercup will love which ever nest that wins. Hmmm traveling bird, one month at Becky's, one month at Vics, one month at the next. It can be done, everyone wins.

Here's my quickie and I do mean quickie. Didn't have much time to put in it, but like I said it will look great on my Christmas tree.

I was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to check in. I am just amazed at all the creativity here - every single nest is a winner if you ask me!

Becky, love all the bright, happy colors in your nest. Must've taken a long time to weave it.

Vic, your nest looks so perfectly made. You must have very meticulous cardinals.

Tee, I love your theme! The nest fits so perfectly in the shell and your accessories are beautifully color coordinated.

Lin, your coco fiber nest looks so soft and inviting.

Charleen, as always your bird and nest are so bright and colorful. I just can't get over how adorable your cardinal is!

Doris, yours is just as cute as it can be! It looks so nice and cozy.

Debbie (rcn), what an elegant nest! I just love my Harry Lauder shrub - the branches are so unusual and work well for so many things. I even like to just stick them in flower arrangements.

Sharon, why don't you want to be in the contest? I love your nest! It's so unique and looks like it would be disguised perfectly outside. Any bird would love to live there!

Debbie, your nest is also elegant. It has such a peaceful and comforting air about it. The soft colors are beautiful!

Dahtzu, now that is original! I sure hope you didn't have to cut your own hair to make it. What a great idea.

Robin, that nest doesn't look like a quickie to me. In fact, it looks like it took a loooong time to make. You're right - it will look awesome on your Christmas tree!

Fantastic job everyone!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Sorry, I was paranoid about coming back to the thread until this morning... thought I might jinx myself! Hilarious!

Chris, I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Harry Lauder twig as my anchor. I had planned to cut a twig from a friend's HUGE shrub but found out when it died she finally removed it from the gardens! Mine is much smaller and it took some investigation to find one suitable.

So many talented and creative people here! This forum is the best! Hurray!

Tee, what a unique idea and I can't stop talking about your sign...it's priceless. Hilarious!
Lin, the coco fiber is perfect and the marbles are so cute nestled in there.
Charleen, I loved the cardinal when I first saw him but now that I've seen his nest and leaves - it's just wonderful!
Doris, I agree, the spanish moss makes a perfect "cozy" nest.
Sharon, I think "Darling Buttercup" would be right at home in your nest! And looky there, it's hanging right next to my favorite painting! Smiling
Debbie, what's not "fancy"? It's wonderful! The fruit is a lovely accent.
Dahtzu, where DID all that hair come from? Incredible imagination! I was actually thinking of using dog's hair - easy pickin's - it's everywhere!
Robin, I agree with Chris, that's a lot of work getting all those twigs together! If Buttercup doesn't choose to live here I've got to find myself some little birds like yours, they're precious!

Whew! Did I miss anyone? Good luck to everyone and I know wherever Buttercup chooses to live he's going to be one lucky Goldfinch! Thumbs up

{{Yawn!!}}

Good morning. This is a very hard choice. But in the end, I went back and looked at them all again with a "bird's eye perspective."

If I were a bird, I think I would most like to park my backside and have my babies in .... plantladylin's nest.

Thumb of 2011-08-22/nap/ea5b25

Tough decision from a human perspective. Love the simplicity as well as the elegance, and the originality and creativity in this contest. My personal favorite ..... no, I'd better not say.

Can I add my own prize?? If anyone wants a surprise from me, Treemail me your address and I'll send you something! Sorry! Nothing valuable!! Hilarious! (Just fun!)
