Sorry, I was paranoid about coming back to the thread until this morning... thought I might jinx myself!
Chris, I knew immediately that I wanted to use the Harry Lauder twig as my anchor. I had planned to cut a twig from a friend's HUGE shrub but found out when it died she finally removed it from the gardens! Mine is much smaller and it took some investigation to find one suitable.
So many talented and creative people here! This forum is the best!
Tee, what a unique idea and I can't stop talking about your sign...it's priceless.
Lin, the coco fiber is perfect and the marbles are so cute nestled in there.
Charleen, I loved the cardinal when I first saw him but now that I've seen his nest and leaves - it's just wonderful!
Doris, I agree, the spanish moss makes a perfect "cozy" nest.
Sharon, I think "Darling Buttercup" would be right at home in your nest! And looky there, it's hanging right next to my favorite painting!
Debbie, what's not "fancy"? It's wonderful! The fruit is a lovely accent.
Dahtzu, where DID all that hair come from? Incredible imagination! I was actually thinking of using dog's hair - easy pickin's - it's everywhere!
Robin, I agree with Chris, that's a lot of work getting all those twigs together! If Buttercup doesn't choose to live here I've got to find myself some little birds like yours, they're precious!
Whew! Did I miss anyone? Good luck to everyone and I know wherever Buttercup chooses to live he's going to be one lucky Goldfinch!
